Strategy & Campaign Initiation

The innovation process begins with setting a clear strategic direction. This includes defining the campaign scope and problem statement, which will guide all upcoming phases. Before launching the campaign, the problem statement is tested with a small audience to ensure clarity and relevance. A dedicated campaign team is formed to support employees at every stage of the innovation journey. Once finalised, the campaign is officially launched by uploading the problem statement onto the Innovation Café platform, signaling the start of ideation.

Ideation & Concept Development

During the ideation phase, employees log onto the InnoVoice platform to submit their innovative ideas. To ensure structured thinking, they are guided by the Business Model Canvas (BMC). Employees are encouraged to engage in discussions by ranking, commenting on, and refining each other's ideas, fostering meaningful collaboration. To further support innovators, access to iLearn, a learning and development library, is provided. At the end of this phase, top innovators are recognised and rewarded for their participation, motivating continued involvement.

Activation & Business Case Development

Once the top ideas are identified, selected innovators collaborate with the campaign team, subject matter experts (SMEs), and innovation champions to develop a Benefits Design document. This document outlines the feasibility and impact of their ideas. The seven best ideas are then presented in a high-stakes Shark Tank-style pitch session to executives. To prepare for this, participants undergo learning and development (L&D) workshops on key skills such as Benefits Design, Design Thinking, and Presentation Skills. At the end of this phase, innovators receive formal recognition and rewards for their contributions.

The final phase is focused on executing and scaling the best innovations. Innovators work alongside key partners, including the Solution Delivery Team, Digital Hub, External Partners, and Operations Team, to bring their ideas to life. Through strategic collaboration, the company ensures that innovations are commercialised efficiently, maximising business impact. This approach enables the organisation to remain at the forefront of digital transformation and industry innovation, turning creative ideas into real-world solutions.
